Interface-driven electrical magnetochiral anisotropy in Pt/PtMnGa bilayers

چکیده

Nonreciprocal charge transport, which is frequently termed as electrical magnetochiral anisotropy (EMCA) in chiral conductors, touches the most important elements of modern condensed matter physics. Here, we have investigated large EMCA Pt/PtMnGa (PMG) bilayers, can be attributed to nonreciprocal response an interface-driven transport channel. Different from traditional linear current-dependent EMCA, for Pt/PMG higher-order coefficients should phenomenally added especially small current region. This unusual behavior has been explained based on both quantum and semiclassical models. Furthermore, a combination asymmetrical electron scattering spin-dependent furnish PMG thickness-dependent behaviors bilayers. The dramatically enhanced anomalous Hall angle further demonstrates modified surface state properties by strong spin–orbit coupling.

Exchange Anisotropy in Epitaxial and Polycrystalline NiO/NiFe Bilayers

(001) oriented NiO/NiFe bilayers were grown on single crystal MgO (001) substrates by ion beam sputtering in order to determine the effect that the crystalline orientation of the NiO antiferromagnetic layer has on the magnetization curve of the NiFe ferromagnetic layer. Simple models predict no exchange anisotropy for the (001)-oriented surface, which in its bulk termination is magnetically com...

Dynamic consequences of exchange enhanced anisotropy in ferromagnet/antiferromagnet bilayers

– The phenomenon of exchange anisotropy is well known in terms of static magnetization properties such as enhanced coercivity and magnetization loop shifts. These effects are primarily associated with effective anisotropies introduced into a ferromagnet by exchange coupling with a strongly anisotropic antiferromagnet. These effective anisotropies can be understood as manifestations of a more fu...

Dynamic morphologies of microscale droplet interface bilayers.

Droplet interface bilayers (DIBs) are a powerful platform for studying the dynamics of synthetic cellular membranes; however, very little has been done to exploit the unique dynamical features of DIBs. Here, we generate microscale droplet interface bilayers (μDIBs) by bringing together femtoliter-volume water droplets in a microfluidic oil channel, and characterize morphological changes of the ...

Engineering plant membranes using droplet interface bilayers

Droplet interface bilayers (DIBs) have become widely recognised as a robust platform for constructing model membranes and are emerging as a key technology for the bottom-up assembly of synthetic cell-like and tissue-like structures. DIBs are formed when lipid-monolayer coated water droplets are brought together inside a well of oil, which is excluded from the interface as the DIB forms. The uni...
